Marie Major is a
native Haitian who had a wonderful job in Florida as a housemaid for a
kind and wealthy family. As she was about to retire comfortably, she
became very restless and was “called” back to Haiti.
Marie listened.
She did not know
what she was to do once she arrived until one day she met two young
children who could not afford to go to school. She started a school,
Grace Mission, that has now grown to about 200 children. Marie also
opened an orphanage for up to 32 girls and then built a church for
everyone to worship.
Marie continues to answer God’s call one step at
a time with incredible faith! She also knows that God answers her
prayers by sending angels that provide for her and her children’s
needs on a daily basis. From a knock on her door by a local pastor
with an ‘extra’ bag of rice and milk to
Lazarus Project
teams that
happen to show up when there is a need, prayers are answered by
angels!
Marie
now has a roof!
